Artificial intelligence has revolutionised many industries, and writing is no exception. In the past, creating high-quality marketing copy for businesses was a time-consuming and expensive process, often requiring the expertise of professional writers and editors. However, AI-powered writing assistants have emerged as a game-changer for businesses, helping to save time and effort while generating high-quality copy.

With so many AI-powered writing tools available, it can be challenging for intuitive entrepreneurs to determine which one is best suited for your business needs. In this blog post, I will compare and contrast the features and capabilities of four of the most popular AI-powered writing assistants for businesses.

I have used and still use all four of them: Magic Write at Canva, ChatGPT Plus, Copy.ai, and Jasper.ai.

Comparison of  ChatGPT, Copy.ai, Jasper.ai and

Magic Write at Canva

When it comes to choosing an AI writing assistant for marketing purposes, intuitive entrepreneurs have several options available.

Here’s a comparison of ChatGPT, Copy.ai, Jasper.ai, and Canva Magic Write to help businesses make an informed decision:

ChatGPT:

ChatGPT is a versatile language model that can generate a wide range of content, from customer service chatbots to product descriptions and creative writing. It is powered by OpenAI’s GPT architecture and can be trained on specific datasets to improve its accuracy and generate more targeted content.

One of the key advantages of ChatGPT is its flexibility. Businesses can use it for a variety of marketing tasks, from generating social media posts to writing email newsletters.

ChatGPT can also be integrated with other AI tools, such as chatbots and virtual assistants, to provide a more seamless customer experience.

However, ChatGPT does require some technical expertise to get the most out of its capabilities. Businesses may need to work with developers or AI specialists to train the model and fine-tune its outputs.

You also need to be aware that ChatGPT operates with information available up to 2021, and cannot create a text using facts beyond that data point.

My personal experience with ChatGPT:

After using Copy.ai and Jasper.ai for a long time it was challenging for me to grasp the concept of ChatGPT. I was thrilled that it was free but I was staring at the screen and couldn’t understand what to do with it.

I’ve closed the screen and thought this tool wasn’t for me. But I kept seeing TikTok and YouTube videos praising the miraculous tool. I was ignoring it because I thought Microsoft had invested money into influencers to hype up this “new” technology. I would be better off sticking with my lovely Jasper.ai.

Only when more and more people among my Facebook connections started sharing their success stories with ChatGPT and how “they couldn’t get enough of it” I decided to give the platform another go.

I watched a couple of YouTube videos explaining how to use this tool. In a nutshell you need to give commands to the machine what you want it to produce. The clearer the command the better results you will get.

At some point it felt spooky as if you were communicating with the machine that seemingly understands you.

I started exploring its possibilities in depth only when a member of my Magical Creators community asked me a question about the difference between ChatGPT and Copy.ai. This question effectively inspired this whole article.

One of the biggest advantages is that it has a really great free version but they also have the paid one called ChatGPT Plus.

What is the difference between ChatGPT(free) and ChatGPT Plus (paid version)?

ChatGPT and ChatGPT Plus are both language models based on the GPT architecture, but they differ in terms of their size, training data, and capabilities.

ChatGPT is a large language model trained on a diverse range of text data from the internet, including news articles, books, and other sources. It has a capacity of 117 million parameters and is capable of generating high-quality responses to a wide range of natural language inputs.

ChatGPT Plus, on the other hand, is a larger and more powerful language model that has been trained on an even more extensive corpus of text data, including the entire Common Crawl dataset. It has a capacity of 1.3 billion parameters, which is over 10 times larger than ChatGPT, making it one of the largest publicly available language models.

ChatGPT Plus is capable of generating even more sophisticated and nuanced responses than ChatGPT, and can be used for more complex natural language tasks such as text summarization, question answering, and language translation.

In summary, ChatGPT and ChatGPT Plus are both highly capable language models, but ChatGPT Plus has a much larger capacity and can handle more complex natural language tasks than ChatGPT.

If you need a language model for more advanced natural language processing tasks, ChatGPT Plus may be a better choice. However, if you need a language model for more general natural language processing tasks such as chatbot interactions, ChatGPT may be sufficient for your needs.

Copy.ai

Copy.ai is a powerful AI writing assistant that specialises in marketing copy, such as ad copy, product descriptions, and landing pages. It uses GPT-3 technology to generate high-quality, customizable copy that is tailored to a business’s specific needs and audience.

One of the main advantages of Copy.ai is its user-friendly interface. Businesses can easily customise their copy by selecting tone, audience, and other parameters.

Copy.ai also offers multiple language options and is constantly improving its suggestions based on user feedback.

However, Copy.ai’s capabilities are limited to marketing copy, which may not be suitable for businesses that need more versatility in their AI writing assistant.

Additionally, while Copy.ai is a powerful tool, its pricing may be prohibitive for some smaller businesses.

Does Copy.ai offer a free subscription?

Copy.ai offers a free trial that allows users to test the platform and its features before committing to a paid subscription. With the free trial, users can access all the tools and features of the platform for a limited time, including:

AI writing assistance: The free trial allows users to generate up to 10,000 words using Copy.ai’s language model. This includes blog posts, product descriptions, social media posts, and more.

Templates: Copy.ai offers a range of templates for various types of content, such as landing pages, Facebook ads, Google ads, and more. With the free trial, users can access all of these templates.

Integrations: Copy.ai integrates with a range of tools and platforms, including WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, and more. Users can test these integrations during the free trial period.

Team collaboration: The free trial allows users to invite team members to collaborate on projects and review content generated by the AI.

It’s important to note that the free trial has some limitations. For example, users can only generate up to 10,000 words during the trial period, and there is a limit on the number of templates that can be used. Additionally, some advanced features, such as custom training of the language model, are only available to paid subscribers.

Personal experience with Copy.ai

This was the first AI writing tool that I came across and started using in my business. I have recommended it to many members of the Magical Creators membership.

I was paying my monthly fees for about a year but I didn’t use it fully because I was busy with other projects, and it seemed financially unwise to continue with the paid version and I switched to the free subscription but I am still a proud affiliate of this tool.

Jasper.ai

Jasper.ai is a comprehensive AI writing assistant that combines machine learning with data-driven insights to help businesses optimize their marketing strategy. It offers a wide range of features, such as keyword research, A/B testing, and sentiment analysis. It also offers AI chat

One of the key advantages of Jasper.ai is its ability to integrate with other marketing platforms and tools, such as Google Analytics and HubSpot. This allows businesses to leverage data insights to improve their marketing strategy and generate more targeted content.

Jasper.ai’s pricing may be higher than some other options, which may make it less accessible to smaller businesses.

Jasper.ai offers a 5 day free trial with a 10K word limit.

My personal experience with Jasper

I knew that you need to check facts after using Jasper for more precise information, sometimes it could get repetitive. But all in all I liked using Jasper, my favourite template was “Content improver” when I wrote a text in a simple language and Jasper converted it into an enticing marketing message.

But I have to admit the monthly fee is pricey.

Canva Magic Write

Canva Magic Write is an AI writing assistant developed by Canva that uses deep learning technology to suggest words and phrases to help users write more clearly and effectively. It features a user-friendly interface that allows users to easily switch between different writing modes, such as blog posts, social media captions, and email subject lines.

One of the main advantages of Canva Magic Write is its integration with other Canva tools, such as design templates and stock photos. This allows businesses to easily create cohesive marketing campaigns with both visual and written elements.

However, Canva Magic Write’s capabilities are limited to basic writing tasks, which may not be suitable for businesses that need a more robust AI writing assistant.

Additionally, its language options may be more limited than other tools, which may not be suitable for businesses with a global audience.

Magic write is free for everyone to use and Free Canva Subscribers can generate up to 25 pieces of content for free.

My personal experience with Canva Write:

In comparison with the other three tools I used Canva Write just a couple of times. It is good at creating posts like 5 tips to use… or 5 ways how to…

I love Canva unconditionally. I’ve been a paid subscriber since 2014 and I am in awe how they keep developing the platform and adding new tools. I am a hardcore Canva fan.

Why would people need to hire a marketing consultant if they have these tools available?

While AI-powered writing tools like Magic Write at Canva, ChatGPT, Copy.ai, and Jasper.ai are incredibly powerful and can help businesses create high-quality copy quickly and easily, there are still some limitations to what they can do.

For example, these tools may not be able to understand the nuances of a particular industry or market, or they may not be able to fully capture the unique brand voice of a business. Additionally, while these tools can generate copy, they may not be able to provide a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with a business’s specific goals and objectives.

That’s where a marketing consultant can come in. A marketing consultant can help businesses develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with their unique goals and objectives, and can work with them to create high-quality copy that resonates with their target audience.

They can also help businesses analyse the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns and make adjustments as needed.

By combining the power of AI with the insights and expertise of a marketing consultant, businesses can achieve even greater success in their marketing efforts.

In conclusion, AI-powered writing tools like Magic Write at Canva, ChatGPT Plus, Copy.ai, and Jasper.ai can be incredibly valuable resources for businesses looking to create high-quality marketing copy quickly and easily.

These tools can help businesses save time and effort, and can generate copy that is engaging and effective.

However, it’s important to keep in mind that these tools do have their limitations.

By combining the power of AI with the insights and expertise of a marketing consultant, businesses can create marketing strategies and copy that are not only effective, but also aligned with their unique goals and objectives.

Ultimately, the key to success in marketing is to leverage all the tools and resources available, whether they be AI-powered writing tools or human expertise, to create a comprehensive and effective marketing strategy.
